Predicted adult height: 165 cm
Most children end up between 157 cm and 174 cm.
How it works
Doctors often start from the “mid-parental” or target height: the parents' average, adjusted by 6.5 cm for the child's sex. It's simple and only a guide: a range of ±8.5 cm covers most children. A photo can't show how tall a child will grow, but it can show the face: the Baby AI Generator mixes both parents' features into a portrait of your future child.
Questions
- How is the height predicted?
- With the mid-parental method: the average of both parents' heights, plus 6.5 cm for a boy or minus 6.5 cm for a girl.
- How reliable is it?
- It's a starting estimate. Most children end up within about 8.5 cm of it either way; nutrition, health and many genes all play a part.
- Should I worry if my child is outside the range?
- Not on the strength of a calculator. If you have concerns about growth, ask your child's doctor, who can use growth charts and other measurements.
